WEBSITE SERVICE TERMS · VERSION 24 SEPTEMBER 2026
Clear terms for a straightforward website project.
These terms apply when you buy a website package from DE VERE WORKS LTD. Your proposal and checkout page form part of the agreement and set the price and project-specific scope.
1. The service
We will design and build the website described in your proposal. The standard £499 package covers up to five pages, adapted from the agreed demo using the text, images and other material you supply. A larger or materially different site needs a separate written scope and price.
2. Payment and starting work
Payment is due through the checkout shown with your proposal. We will confirm the order before starting. Dates are agreed after purchase and depend on receiving the material, access and decisions we need from you.
The current checkout is a sandbox demonstration. No real money is charged until De Vere Works confirms that live sales are open.
3. Your responsibilities
You must supply accurate content and timely feedback, and confirm that you have permission to use every name, image, logo, claim and other item you give us. You remain responsible for the legality and accuracy of your business content.
4. Revisions and approval
The package includes two consolidated revision rounds before launch. Please send each round as one clear list. New features, changed scope and further edits may be quoted separately. Launch approval can be given by email.
5. Hosting and domains
One year of hosting is included from launch. After that, hosting is offered at £200 per year and is paid separately; it does not renew automatically. Domain names, paid plugins, stock media and other third-party costs are included only when the proposal expressly says so.
6. Ownership
You keep ownership of material you supply. Once the agreed price is paid in full, you may use the finished website for your business. De Vere Works keeps ownership of its existing tools, reusable methods and know-how. Third-party and open-source materials remain subject to their own licences.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel before work starts for a full refund. If you ask us to start and later cancel, we may deduct the reasonable value of work already completed and non-recoverable costs agreed for your project, then refund the balance. This does not reduce any cancellation or refund rights that the law gives you.
8. Service standard and limits
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We cannot promise uninterrupted third-party hosting, search rankings or a particular commercial result. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, our total liability arising from the project will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
9. Problems and changes
Please email contact@devereworks.com if anything is wrong; we will try to resolve it promptly. Changes to the agreed scope or these terms must be confirmed in writing. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest continue to apply.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing here prevents a customer from using any court or legal protection available to them under applicable law.
