Simple page statistics

Our website concepts use server-side totals to understand whether a demo is being accessed. This feature does not set tracking cookies, use local storage, run advertising pixels or identify individual visitors.

When our server serves a demo page, it increments a daily total for that demo. It uses the ordinary request headers to separate recognised automated requests and broad source categories such as search, social, other websites or no source supplied. We do not keep IP addresses, full referring URLs, browser identifiers or individual browsing histories in these statistics. We do not use them to recognise returning visitors or target advertisements.

Daily statistics are retained for 90 days. Private previews, marked staff previews and recognised automated requests are excluded from the main page-request count. A page request does not tell us who viewed the page.

Checkout and payments

If you choose to buy a website, Stripe handles the payment. Our private administration system shows aggregate counts of checkout sessions and confirmed payments against the relevant demo. Payment and contract records are held separately to fulfil your order and meet accounting obligations. We do not receive or store your full card details.

Operation and security

Our hosting server also processes ordinary connection information to deliver pages and maintain service security. Access to operational logs is restricted; these are not used here to create advertising audiences or visitor profiles. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and understanding aggregate use, while minimising the information we retain.

Your choices and questions

Contact contact@devereworks.com about privacy, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, or to exercise your data-protection rights where applicable. We cannot identify a particular person within the aggregate demo totals. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
